June 1, 2025: Presented by the America-China Talk (ACT) and the UC Davis Department of East Asian Languages, celebrity chef and distinguished alumnus Martin Yan will host a special six-course dinner and wine pairing. This exclusive event will showcase Chef Yan's amazing knife skills, and his personal recipes paired with four California wines from UC Davis alumni. There will be a live performance of Chinese classical music, and Chef Yan's autographed cookbooks will be available for purchase.
April 26, 2025: Join Women in Wine at UC Davis on April 26th, 2025 for a symposium on Breaking Tradition in the Wine Industry. The event will feature three speakers from different backgrounds in the industry and a moderated panel, all addressing areas for growth in the wine industry–how defying convention and questioning norms can lead to impactful change. It will also include lunch, small group discussions, and a reception with wines poured by our distinguished panelists and speakers.
April 11, 2025: The UC Davis Department of Viticulture and Enology (V&E) is world-renowned, with many Cal Aggie Alumni working throughout the wine industry. Join us for an alumni wine showcase to sample wines from select alumni winemakers and wineries. The Cal Aggie Alumni Association will host a blind wine tasting in the Sensory Building lobby, where you can learn more about their alumni wine club, Aggies Uncorked.

November 23, 2024: The UC Davis Olive Center, in collaboration with Séka Hills and the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, has created the 2024 limited edition Olio Nuovo from the UC Davis Wolfskill Experimental Orchard and the plantings at the Blue Hills tribal land in the Capay Valley. In conjunction with this year's UC Davis Olive Center Olio Nuovo Festival, the center is offering two short, in-person classes on the “Grow Olive Trees in your Garden: Basics of Planting and Care” and “Olive Oil Appreciation: How to Select and Enjoy it.”
September 5-7, 2024: During this conference you will learn about research and projects around the topics of sustainable olive farming and olive oil production, including soil health, biodiversity, utilization of mill by-products, input management and more. With our "farm to fork" approach, we are also addressing dietary choices that benefit both human and planetary health, and issues of economic and social sustainability.

April 20, 2024: Picnic Day at UC Davis is filled with activities, Aggie Pride, and a campus full of students, families, and community members. We hope you will join us for fun and educational experiences highlighting the Department of Food Science and Technology, the Department of Viticulture and Enology, the Honey and Pollination Center, and the UC Davis Olive Center. The UC Davis Bookstore will be selling honey and olive oil to support the two centers, and the Olive Center will also have shirts, hats, and olive wood for sale.
