The UC Davis Olive Center, in collaboration with Séka Hills and the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, has created the 2024 limited edition Olio Nuovo from the UC Davis Wolfskill Experimental Orchard and the plantings at the Blue Hills tribal land in the Capay Valley. In conjunction with this year's UC Davis Olive Center Olio Nuovo Festival, the center is offering two short, in-person classes on the “Grow Olive Trees in your Garden: Basics of Planting and Care” and “Olive Oil Appreciation: How to Select and Enjoy it” at the Good Life Garden and the Sensory theater located at the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science with the support of Novavine Olive Nursery. Learn the basics of growing olive trees and what makes olive oil great. Taste our freshest extra virgin olive oil, which is now a yearly tradition!
