Partnership to Support Healthy UC Davis Enhancements to Good Life Garden

About TASTE: With sips and bites from the region’s finest wineries, breweries, and eateries, as well as live music and art, TASTE celebrates all things foodie against the backdrop of the world’s leading scientific programs for food and beverage research. Robert and Margrit Mondavi believed that great wine, music, and art enhance our quality of life—join us for an evening of all three!

About the cause: Studies have shown that we spend more time indoors looking at screens than we do outside enjoying nature, and that our health—mental, emotional, and physical—is suffering as a result. The Healthy UC Davis initiative aims to change that by making our campus the healthiest community in the nation, and it’s why the Robert Mondavi Institute, the Department of Viticulture and Enology, the Department of Food Science and Technology, and the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden are partnering at TASTE 2019. Proceeds from this year’s event will help create a new outdoor community area in the Peter and Merle Mullin Courtyard in the Good Life Garden, a space dedicated to the connection between good food and good health.

On Exhibit: Kathy Butterly | ColorForm. Charting the evolution of Butterly’s career through over 70 works of art spanning 1989 to the present, the exhibition especially highlights the last ten years of her work. (Ticket not required for museum admission.)

TASTE: Wine, Art, Beer, Music // 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

UC Davis Good Life Garden at the Robert Mondavi Institute

Pick up a commemorative tasting glass and enjoy sips of wine, beer, cider, mead, as well as delicious bites from local eateries and live music by Babzmatazz.
